Anthony Ippolito Signs With CAA Following 'I Play Rocky' Trailer

Anthony Ippolito has signed with talent agency CAA, according to Deadline. The move comes on the heels of the release of the trailer for his upcoming film, I Play Rocky.

Ippolito stars in the film as a young Sylvester Stallone, chronicling the underdog backstory behind the making of the original Rocky. The actor reportedly took matters into his own hands to land the role, sending an unsolicited self-taped audition to the film's producers and director Peter Farrelly.

What is 'I Play Rocky' about?

The Amazon MGM Studios drama tells the story of Stallone's struggle to get Rocky made, including a period where he was so in need of cash that he sold his dog Butkus. The film is set for a limited theatrical release on November 13, followed by a wide release on November 20. It will begin its festival run at Toronto in September.

What is Anthony Ippolito known for?

This marks Ippolito's first leading feature role. He is known for playing a young Al Pacino opposite Miles Teller in the Paramount+ series The Offer. His other credits include playing George Wright in Netflix's Grand Army and a role in the Netflix film Purple Hearts.
