Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo Finalize Divorce After Nearly a Decade
After years of crediting her with his stability, Jelly Roll's legal separation from Bunnie Xo is complete, marking the end of a defining personal era.

For years, Jelly Roll painted a picture of a rock-solid partnership with his wife, Bunnie Xo, crediting her with saving his life and family. That chapter has now closed. The country singer, whose real name is Jason DeFord, and Bunnie Xo finalized their divorce in July 2026, Us Weekly confirmed. The filing, which listed a separation date of May 9, 2026, cited irreconcilable differences.
Jelly Roll shares son Noah, born in 2016, with an ex-partner. Bunnie, who does not share biological children with Jelly Roll, was instrumental in his journey as a father. He previously told Billboard that he "I would have never got custody of my daughter without her. I wouldn’t have had the stability or the money.".
A Family Forged
Jelly Roll's path to fatherhood began while he was incarcerated. "A guard knocks on my cell door midafternoon during lockdown. He goes, ‘You had a kid today,’" he recalled. The news was a turning point. "I’ve never had nothing in life that urged me in the moment to know that I had to do something different. I have to figure this out right now." he said.
Bunnie Xo has spoken about the settlement publicly, telling listeners of her "Dumb Blonde" podcast in June that the decision was not mutual.
