Kesha's House Is Filled With Jars of Human Teeth

Kesha collects human teeth and keeps them in jars around her home. The pop star detailed her unusual hobby on a July 15 episode of the Las Culturistas podcast, according to E! News. "Do you know I collect teeth? I do," she explained. The collection began years ago when a fan mentioned their child's lost tooth. "Send them over. The teeth started when I became obsessed with my fans and then someone was like, ‘My child lost their teeth,’ and I was like, ‘Can I have them?’"

She initially used the donations to make jewelry. Her motivation for continuing the hobby is simple. "Then I just started collecting them because it kind of freaks out straight men."

She has previously said she's received more than 1,000 from fans and has moved beyond crafting. "I just started putting them all over my home," she said. "In little jars."

Kesha argues her collection gives purpose to what most people consider waste. "Do you flush them down the toilet?" she posited. "Where are they going? Give them to me. Can I actually have them? It’s not a drill, not a joke."

More Than Just Human Teeth

Her collection also includes more personal mementos. During a May episode of Call Her Daddy, she shared that she keeps the extracted teeth from her cats. "I have my cats had to get their little teeth taken out. They're little kitty wisdom teeth. I collect those too," she said. Kesha has framed the collection as keepsakes from people—and pets—close to her.

As she put it, "I'm like the tooth fairy."
