Real Housewives Star Confirms Son's Role in California Wildfire

What happens when a reality TV family faces a real-life crisis? For Jennifer Pedranti, it meant a public apology and a tough lesson for one of her kids.

The "Real Housewives of Orange County" star confirmed on Thursday that one of her sons was involved in starting a wildfire in Ladera Ranch, California. In a statement posted to her Instagram Stories, Pedranti addressed the incident head-on.

"He and others were involved," she wrote, without specifying which of her four sons was responsible. "My ex husband and myself take this very serious. This behavior is unacceptable and we are deeply sorry to our community. This is a tough learning moment for our son and our family."

The fire, which was reported at 4:45 p.m. Pedranti expressed relief that the situation wasn't worse.

"We were so thankful there was no property damage and nobody was hurt," she shared. "The fire and police were absolutely amazing and gave these boys a lesson they will never forget."

While no arrests were made, Pedranti, 49, made it clear there would be repercussions at home. "He will be taking a fire safety course to make sure a mistake like this never happens again," she said. "There are consequences within our family and we will make sure our son learns from this accident."

The reality star shares four sons—22-year-old Harrison, 19-year-old Dawson, 16-year-old Greyson, and 12-year-old Dominic—as well as a 14-year-old daughter, Everleigh, with her ex-husband William Pedranti. She stated that both parents are united in their response to the incident.

Pedranti, who appeared on "Watch What Happens Live" in October 2024, is known for her role on the long-running Bravo franchise. This public family matter marks a departure from the usual scripted drama, underscoring the serious real-world implications of the boys' actions.
