Kevin Feige Confirms Plans for Miles Morales in the MCU
Marvel Studios boss says a live-action version is coming after the animated 'Spider-Verse' trilogy concludes.

“But yes, we definitely have plans [for a live-action Miles], and I think a live-action Spider-Man movie has this destiny: to add Miles sometime after the Spider-Verse series ends.”
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has confirmed plans to introduce a live-action version of Miles Morales into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to Deadline, Feige stated the popular Spider-Man character will appear in a future movie after Sony Pictures' animated 'Spider-Verse' film series concludes. The final chapter, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, is scheduled for release on June 18, 2027.
What did Kevin Feige say?
Feige made the comments in an interview with China’s Watching Hollywood. “The good news is, Sony has the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse series, which are very popular and excellent, and Beyond the Spider-Verse is coming out next year,” he said. “But yes, we definitely have plans [for a live-action Miles], and I think a live-action Spider-Man movie has this destiny: to add Miles sometime after the Spider-Verse series ends.”
He also noted that audiences saw a hint toward this future in Spider-Man: No Way Home, where Electro says, “Somewhere there’s bound to be a Black Spider-Man.”
What's the status of future Spider-Man movies?
Feige indicated that discussions about the web-slinger's cinematic future are already underway with his production partner, Amy Pascal. “We’ve been thinking and discussing more Spider-Man adventures, regardless of agreements or contracts,” Feige said. “My production partner, Amy Pascal, is already working on it, and we’ve had in-depth discussions about what the next two, three, four, and five Spider-Man movies might be about.”
This follows Pascal's own 2023 confirmation to Variety that a live-action Miles Morales movie was in development, where she said, “You’ll see all of it. It’s all happening.” Meanwhile, Tom Holland is set to return as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, premiering in theaters on July 30.
