Lilly Wachowski has joined the indie sci-fi short film “The Day Before” as an executive producer, according to a report from Variety. The “Matrix” and “Sense8” co-creator is now attached to the project from writer-director-star Alexandra Grey.
Grey leads the ensemble cast, which includes Matthew Law (“Nemesis,” “Abbott Elementary”), Jamie Clayton (“Sense8,” “Hellraiser”), and Alexander David Pleasant (“Abbott Elementary”). The short film is set on the eve of NASA’s most ambitious space mission, following Dr. Erynne Washington (Grey), the first astronaut selected for a historic one-way journey to Mars.
