Carly Rae Jepsen Drops New Single 'After All' Ahead of Double Album

Carly Rae Jepsen has released a new single, “After All.” According to Rolling Stone, the song is the second preview of her upcoming first double album, Day and Night, which is scheduled for release on September 18.

The track will appear on the Day side of the record. Jepsen co-wrote “After All” with Kyle Shearer, who also co-produced the song with Nate Cyphert. The accompanying music video, directed by Aerin Moreno, features Jepsen pregnant, a nod to her personal life after welcoming her first child earlier this year. Her husband, Cole M.G.N., also appears in the visual.

What is the new album about?

Day and Night is Jepsen’s eighth studio album and her first structured as a double LP. The project will contain 24 tracks total, with 12 songs on each side corresponding to the day and night theme. The full track list has not yet been announced. Jepsen worked on the album with several collaborators, including longtime partners Tavish Crowe, Kyle Shearer, Nate Cyphert, and her husband.

When is Carly Rae Jepsen performing next?

Her first live performance of the year is set for September 27 at New York City’s All Things Go Festival, where she will play a special sunset set. The singer began teasing the new album era in early June, posting lyric snippets and images to her social media accounts twice daily.
