Kacey Musgraves and Kane Brown will headline a new country music festival launching in Australia next year. According to Billboard, the inaugural LONGHAUL festival is set for a three-city run across one weekend in January 2027.
The event kicks off at Melbourne Showgrounds on Friday, Jan. 22, 2027. It moves to Sydney Showground the following day, Saturday, Jan. 23, and concludes at Brisbane RNA Showgrounds on Sunday, Jan. 24. These will be the only Australian shows for both Musgraves and Brown during the festival run.

The bill blends international and local talent. Alongside the headliners, U.S. artists Charles Wesley Godwin, Margo Price, Maddox Batson, Ava Hall, and James Barker Band are confirmed. Australian performers Beau Shearer, Denvah, Nathan Lamont, Taylor Moss, and Tyla Rodrigues will also appear.
When do tickets go on sale?
Ticket sales begin with an Afterpay presale starting Friday, July 24, at 12 p.m. local time, running through Monday, July 27. Other presales follow on Monday, July 27, at 1 p.m. local time. General tickets go on sale Friday, July 31, at 2 p.m. local time via Ticketek.
Tim McGregor, global head of touring at TEG Live, which is powering the festival alongside LONGHAUL Touring, said in a statement, “LONGHAUL Touring is just getting started with this flagship festival and there is a lot more in the pipeline to share with you all very soon.”
The festival announcement highlights both headliners' chart achievements. Brown made Billboard history in 2017 by becoming the first artist to top all five of the publication's main country charts simultaneously. Musgraves' 2024 album Deeper Well debuted at No. 1 on several Billboard charts, including Top Album Sales and Top Country Albums. Her 2018 album Golden Hour won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 2019.
