Key Glock Drops 'Project X' Album, Already Working on Sequel

Key Glock is in a new, more open era with the release of his album "Project X." According to Billboard, the album arrived on June 19 and debuted at No. 29 on the Billboard 200, also landing a top 10 spot on the Top Rap Albums chart.

He’s already looking ahead, confirming he is working on his next album and that a sequel to "Project X" is in the cards.

What inspired the 'Project X' era?

Glock told Billboard this project represents a more fun and social period for him. He recorded the album during stays in Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, and Atlanta, drawing energy from those cities. To test the music, he played unreleased songs in clubs and watched the crowd's reaction. "A lot of clubs and strip clubs help me with the tracklisting and they don’t even know it," he said.

He also opened up his process through "The Road to Project X" vlogs. "They was just as excited as I was because they know people don’t see this side of me either," Glock explained.

What's next for Key Glock?

The rapper is moving forward with new music. While there won't be a deluxe edition of "Project X," he confirmed a sequel is planned. He’s also working on his next album, which may include some features. When asked about potential collaborators, he named Tyler, the Creator.

Beyond music, Glock hinted at getting into acting for both TV and movies, though he didn't share specific details.
