Hannah Waddingham Jokes About the Physical Toll of 'Ride or Die' Stunts

The Emmy-winning actress, 51, opened up about the punishing physical demands of starring in the new Prime Video action series Ride or Die.

She described spending “a week learning the choreography of a fight sequence, perform it,” only to leave herself “mangled.” Afterward, she’d think, “What are you doing? You’re 51, woman!” Waddingham admitted the work was “incredibly demanding on my body.”

The Bathroom Brawl

Despite the aches, the Ted Lasso star expressed immense pride in one particular scene: a bathroom fight while wearing a gold dress. She recalled going at it all day with such intensity that her stunt double, Chanique Greyling, told her she had never been on a job where the fight team had to be asked to tone things down. “I was going at it all day, and the director said, ‘Can we just raise the energy a bit? Hannah was literally biting the guy’s hand,’” Waddingham said.
