Maggie Grace has joined the series regular cast of AMC’s upcoming NASCAR drama series Thunder Road, according to Deadline. She will play Laney Whitlock, the CEO of the fictional Whitlock Racing team.
Grace joins a cast led by Dennis Quaid, who plays racing legend Duane “The Wrecking Ball” Whitlock. The series, from creator John Fusco, follows the multi-generational saga of the Whitlock family, whose legacy in stock car racing is deeply tied to their Southern roots.

Grace will portray Laney Whitlock, the oldest and smartest of Duane’s children. Described as carrying herself “like she owns oxygen,” Laney is the CEO of Whitlock Racing and holds herself personally accountable for the family’s racing future. She manages the race team, her own family, and wrestles with the instinct to be as forceful as her father.
