Oscar winner Mark Andrews has been announced as supervising director and co-showrunner for a new animated series titled "John Carter, Warlord of Mars," according to TheWrap. The Pixar veteran, who directed the Academy Award-winning film "Brave," will co-run the project with head writer Michael Kogge.
The series is based on Edgar Rice Burroughs' classic science fiction novels, which follow a former Confederate soldier transported to a war-torn Mars.
