The technical choice, reported via World of Reel, is part of Coogler's effort to give the pilot a cinematic look. The report indicates that Disney and Hulu, which are producing the reboot, have not yet decided whether to greenlight a full series or potentially release the pilot in theaters. A hybrid approach, releasing the project theatrically before its streaming debut, is also reportedly being considered.
