Wonder Project Expands International Slate With UK and Ireland Series

Wonder Project is expanding its international scripted programming with three new series from the U.K. and Ireland, according to a report from Variety. The slate includes acquisitions of two existing shows and a new commission.

The first is "Leonard and Hungry Paul," a critically acclaimed Northern Irish series narrated by Oscar winner Julia Roberts. Wonder has acquired exclusive U.S. streaming rights to the six-part show, which follows two board-gaming friends navigating suburban life. The series stars Alex Lawther, Laurie Kynaston, and Jamie-Lee O'Donnell.

Wonder has also secured exclusive U.S. premiere rights to "You & Me," a three-part drama executive produced by Russell T Davies. The series, starring Harry Lawtey and Jessica Barden, explores love and loss after a tragedy.

Rounding out the slate is "Rewarding," a new six-part comedy series commissioned by BBC Northern Ireland and Wonder Project. Set in the world of domiciliary care, it features disabled, neurodivergent, and learning disabled talent and is expected to premiere on Wonder in late 2026.

"The UK and Ireland have an incredible track record of developing distinctive voices and building shows that travel internationally without losing what makes them unique," said Tristen Tuckfield, head of content acquisition at Wonder Project.

Justin Rosenblatt, head of global TV at Wonder Project, added, "We're interested in creators who have a deep understanding of the worlds they're writing about. 'Rewarding' comes from a place of genuine insight."
