Robert Plant will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at this year's Americana Honors & Awards ceremony, according to a report by Rolling Stone.

The former Led Zeppelin frontman will receive the accolade on September 16. The award is one of the Americana Music Association's highest honors, recognizing his significant contributions to the roots genre over the past twenty years.

According to Rolling Stone, Plant has become an integral figure in Americana roots music over the past two decades, thanks to collaborations with Alison Krauss and T Bone Burnett. The outlet reports that Plant and Krauss celebrated Album of the Year honors for their LP Raising Sand, and that Plant later repeated the feat when his Band of Joy LP was named that year’s best album.

His recent work continues this exploration. He released the album Saving Grace in 2025 with English singer Suzi Dian and is currently on tour in support of the record. The tour included a stop at the Ryman in March and resumes just two days after the awards ceremony.
