Chris Rock's New Film 'Misty Green' Drops Trailer, Sets Toronto Premiere

Chris Rock's latest feature film as a writer-director, Misty Green, has released its first trailer and is set for a world premiere at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film features a notable ensemble cast. Eleazar is joined by Adam Driver, Daniel Kaluuya, Anna Kendrick, Topher Grace, and Chris Rock himself. The trailer introduces their characters through a series of tense and candid interactions.

What does the trailer reveal?

The preview opens with Misty being evicted from her apartment. “I’m broke,” she confesses early on, noting her brother, played by Kaluuya, depends on her. She meets with an executive, played by Topher Grace, who underscores the industry's harsh reality. “It’s tough out there. I don’t know if I can even get you on Law & Order now,” he tells her.

Rock appears in a scene where his character recalls a past incident with Misty. “The last time I cast you, you punched this bitch in the face,” his character says, to which Misty retorts, “She hit me first.” Driver’s character is seen making her a dubious offer, suggesting she could make “a little extra cash.” The trailer also shows Misty auditioning and her brother facing difficult times.

Misty Green is scheduled for its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2026. Following the festival run, the film is slated for an October theatrical release.
