Devon Allman Lands First Major Acting Role in AMC's NASCAR Drama 'Thunder Road'

Musician Devon Allman has been cast in his first major acting role in AMC's upcoming NASCAR drama series 'Thunder Road,' according to Deadline. He will star opposite Dennis Quaid in the multi-generational family saga set in the world of stock car racing.

Allman will play Jimmy Fuchs, described as a silver-tongued Southern operator whose easy charm and credentials barely conceal the danger underneath. The character is part of the recurring cast for the series, which is set to begin production this summer and debut on AMC and AMC+ in 2027.

In 'Thunder Road,' Allman's character, Jimmy Fuchs, is a key figure in the show's world. The series follows the fictional Whitlock family, a blue-collar dynasty whose racing legacy is built from a history of moonshine runs and dirt tracks, now fighting to hold onto their empire. Dennis Quaid stars as the family patriarch, racing legend Duane 'The Wrecking Ball' Whitlock.
